Dense, vibrant colour is a feature of this brooding beauty, along with very ripe, sweet fruit, reminiscent of plum, blackberry and pepper on the nose. Two years maturation in small American oak barrels has enhanced and complemented the robust fleshy fruit. As a result the palate is generous, ripe and mouth filling exhibiting berry and cinnamon spice flavours, along with oak derived mocha overtones and harmonious, soft yet defined tannins. Winery notes Absolutely classic and classy Barossa Shiraz this, their best wine since the 1998. This stuff is exactly what you expect from the blending of quality Barossa Shiraz fruit from a terrific vintage, with American oak really well handled. Mix in some of that trademark light mint the Willows seem to always get and you get a delicious and serious glass of wine!
